Post-Brexit trade deal done for Northern Ireland

The UK and the European Union have reached a new post-Brexit trade deal involving Northern Ireland.

The deal aims to ease tensions caused by Brexit over the governance of Northern Ireland, which is part of the UK but has an open border with the Republic of Ireland, an EU member.

British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and EU President Ursula von der Leyen spoke about three key elements of facilitation.
