Tabang Monare, Olisa Ndah, Innocent Maela and Goodman Mosele will miss the match at Orlando Stadium.
The Pirates’ medical team confirmed that Monare was suffering from muscle tension, which caused him to be sidelined for a month on matchday. However, the midfielder is expected to return to full training next week.
“Experienced midfielder Thabang Monare was one of the team’s notable matchday absentees over the past month, and his last start came against Mamelody Sundowns in early February,” the club wrote on its website.
“This was due to tension in the thigh muscles reported ahead of a recent home league match against Maritzburg United, which also forced him to miss the subsequent Soweto Derby clashes against the Kaiser Chiefs and Swallows respectively.
“The player has made some progress in his recovery from injury and is expected to return to training next week. Goodman Mosele joined Monara on the injured list and should return to full training in the coming weeks along with Bandil Shandu.
Bucs Medical Services also said that by the end of the week, Mosele will start with light training.
“The 23-year-old midfielder (Mosele) is expected to begin light training by the end of this week after suffering an ankle ligament injury, while Shandu is also expected to return before the end of the month after undergoing treatment for a stiff hamstring. ,” the statement said. .
