Johnny Ruffo has opened up about his battle with brain cancer, revealing that he has begun a new phase of treatment.

He also included the hashtags #ihatethischair and #f*ckcancer.
Last August, the 34-year-old reported the worst that his brain cancer diagnosis was incurable.
“It will get to me at some point, but I’m still struggling, still kicking,” he told Carrie Bickmore on The Project at the time.
“Given my diagnosis and my tumor… the average life expectancy was three years.”
“It’s been five years for me. I’m already winning. My goal now is to try to help as many people as possible and also live a happy life.”
The singer wasn’t alone during chemo, joined by his “incredible” girlfriend Tanya Sims, who also shared a photo of the moment.
At the end of last year, he reported that he was able to take a break for Christmas from intensive treatment.
“Another year of chemotherapy has passed. It wasn’t easy, but I did it,” Mr. Ruffo said in December.
“I can’t wait to have a few weeks off over Christmas and get some well-deserved time with my family.”
Former colleagues of Mr. Ruffo “Home and Away” were quick to express words of support.
“Sending you so much love Johnny,” wrote Emily Simons in a comment.
“Love to you, buddy, love,” said Georgie Parker.
The love for the star was shared by other celebrities and fans.
“Love from Luke and me. We’ve only met you a few times, but you really are one of those people who can always light up a room ❤️,” said model Samantha Harris.
