‘Everything Everywhere’ wins Indie Spirit Awards

WITH Less than a week away from this year’s Oscars, the race to the finish line for top Hollywood films and directors continues to heat up.

Particularly fantastic. All Everywhere All At Once received a weekend boost at the Spirit Independence Awards 2023, which topped all films this year with eight nominations.

It ended up winning seven prizes, including Best Feature Film. Michelle Yeoh also took home the Best Leading Actress award, a win made even more meaningful by the fact that the categories were gender-neutral. This meant Yeoh was up against some of the best male and female performances of the year.

Everything is everywhereseven wins tied it with Todd Field’s win. Tar, which also won the award for Best Cinematography. Both films were followed by Charlotte Wells. after the sun which won five awards (it also won Best First Feature).

In addition, dramatic women talk was the recipient of this year’s Robert Altman Award, which honors a single film director, casting director and ensemble cast.

The Indie Spirit Awards have become one of the key indicators of subsequent Oscars. 2021 Winner Chloe Zhao Nomadrepeated at the Oscars and won Best Picture.

It remains to be seen if the same will happen to Everyone Everywhere this year at the Oscars on March 12.
