Age reports that Pierce is moving to be an expert commentator for Seven on Thursday night, one of several moves in the free-to-air network.
Pierce was last year transferred to Friday prime time at the expense of Wayne Careywhich has been rescheduled for Saturday.
However, the 34-year-old’s move to assistant coach for the Geelong AFL men’s team means she can no longer work the Friday time slot.
The Age reports that Pierce’s move Thursday is part of a game of musical chairs at Seven with popular sideline reporter Matthew Richardson appointed as an expert commentator. He will be setting up matches on Friday night along with Brian Taylor, James Braishaw and Luke Hodge.
Former AFLW player Abby Holmes is expected to fill the vacant supporting role.
Team Seven on Saturday will reportedly include Hamish McLachlan, Luke Darcy and a number of former players, including Job Watson and Jimmy Barthel.
Channel 7 did not offer Carey a contract for the 2023 season due to his white powder scandal when he was also released by Triple M.
Taylor will also name Sunday’s Seven matches, where he will play alongside former players including Sean Burgoyne.
All nine matches of each round of the 2023 season will remain live on Fox Footy.
The Foxtel network has responded to the departure of Saints legend Nick Ryvoldt with a different all-star team for 2023.
